SopCast Free Internet TV
SopCast is a great bit of software that allows you to watch TV online anywhere in the world! I have just been watch in the footy but you can view many TV channels from around the globe. There are plenty News channels all in different languages, Movie Channels showing many of the new blockbusters (Not to sure how legal this is but..). Like all the other TV programs investigated on this site, it uses p2p technology to stream the station to you PC. There are tons of sports channels, news and movies as said before, but also has a few HDTV broadcasts!!! You will need a large connection to receive these channels though. Also unlike the others (pplive, coolstreaming etc) YOU yes YOU can make your own channel!!! You can use a number of sources for you own TV stations but using Window Media Encoder is by far the easiest I have found. You can use a webcam or a TV capture card. You can also make your channel a “members only” TV stations that need login varification to view the stream. On a whole, this is a great bit of software and I highly recommend it!
