Dell’s 22-inch E228WFP widescreen LCD loosed in Japan

Dell has been offering their version of the 22-inch, 1680×1050 LCD monitor in Australia for some time now. As of tomorrow it hits the shores of Japan with the same 300cd/m2 brightness, 800:1 contrast, 160-degree viewing angle, 5-ms typical response, and DVI jack in tow. Analog RGB? Yeah, that too old schooler. Priced at a very Westinghoused, tax-included price of ¥66,150 (about $563). However, unlike the Westinghouse, Dell’s monitor brings HDCP to the game for viewing HD content in Vista. Still waiting on word for a US drop.
