  • Windows Vista Spurs New PC Sales

    By NewsFactor Network | February 9, 2007

According to new data from market research firm Current Analysis, Microsoft’s Windows Vista launch has been a boon to PC manufacturers, stimulating triple-digital sales increases during the first week Vista-equipped machines came to market.

Overall PC unit sales for the week ending February 3 jumped 173 percent over sales from the previous week and 67 percent year-over-year, the research group reported. The Home Premium edition is designed to enhance mobile or desktop PC functionality while enabling digital entertainment experiences.
