Spybot search and destroy is a free spyware removal software package. Search your hard disk and Registry for threats to your security and privacy.
Ad-Aware is a free software package used for spyware removal. Scan your system for ad-supported software components and remove them.
Run both these programs once a week (Especially if you use p2p and bittorrent programs). If you have a serious infection, install both programs and update. Restart you PC while tapping F8 and start the computer in safe mode. Scan the Administrator account as well as every other user account on the PC.
